Hiking Trails
Skerwink Trail
Easy to moderate hike approx. 5Km loop around a head land over looking Trinity Bay with its sea stacks and birds and in season whales and icebergs. Also a beautiful panoramic view of Historic Trinity.
Gun Hill Trail
A little difficult but a good leisurely hike up and up but “oh” what a view
at the top. A spectacular scenery of Historic Trinity and the surrounding Trinity Bay.
Fox Island Trail:
An easy to difficult 3 km loop from the picturesque community of Champneys West 6km from Trinity. Connected to the main land by an isthmus you then hike up 35 meters above sea level to the top of Fox Island.
British Harbour-Kerleys Harbour Trail:
This trail begins in the little fishing village of New Bonaventure 9km from Trinity. The trail takes you to two resettled communities. About 2km along an easy to moderate hike you will arrive in Kerleys Harbour, resettled in the early 1960 another 6km along a little more difficult you will arrive en British Harbour resettled around the same time.
